THE CHALLENGE: Conduct research over the course of ten weeks to identify a problem related to heritage and food within our community and design a solution.
THE DESIGN: We sought to address the disconnect between college students and their cultural foods. After extensive participant interviews we came up with the Culinary Community Center. The goal was a space where college students could find opportunities and resources to connect to their heritage through food in a way that protects authenticity and is relevant to the reality of their lives as young academics. Our team focused on the branding and advertising portion of the center, how we would connect with students and encourage them to get involved with the CCC.
